Samurais and Cancer Monsters!

Howdy, people! I’ve been doing so many things this year- I didn’t realize I haven’t updated my News Page in a long time. I’ve been doing some voice work, a little animating, and a whole bunch of directing! I have had several overlapping projects that are all coming to a simultaneous close, and I’m beginning some new overlapping projects that will be coming out at the end of the year.

One project I got to direct was for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

This is the story of a doctor at St. Jude, Dr. Hiroto Inaba MD, who is a descendant of a famous samurai, and how he incorporates the samurai spirit into his work: fighting children’s cancer.

This project was fun to put together, and the story is so remarkable, that it was a truly positive experience. Please see the St. Jude Blog for more info on this story and the Doctor.

And a very special thank you to the following people:
Drew Smith - who made the project happen
Lindsey Gilbert - who made these amazing shadow puppets
Allison Brownlow
Nathan Shepherd
